Black Lives Matter: Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1967 speech at Stanford

On April 14, 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr. gave a speech at Stanford about racism and civil rights in American society. He touched on many of the issues that resonate today: racism, poverty and violence versus nonviolent social activism.
